Creation Story

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, as many as 70 million Americans are affected by chronic sleep loss or sleep disorders, resulting in $50 billion in lost productivity. Sleep is essential for both maintaining good health and enabling people to function at their highest level.

The National Sleep Foundation points out that in general, most scientists believe that a person's sleep environment can be a major contributor to insomnia. The sleep environment takes into account sound (noise levels), light, current mattress condition, and temperature.

Four years ago, the world's leading thermoelectric developer brought forward the idea of a climate controlled sleep system. With over 10 years of thermoelectric development and manufacturing experience under their belt, and a highly successful Climate Control Seat system (prominently used in luxury vehicles) already in the market place, it seemed only natural to apply their technology to help solve a prevalent sleep issue- insomnia as a result of temperature.

This endeavor resulted in the creation of Micro-Climate Solutions, Inc., whose single purpose was to bring a climate controlled sleep system to market. Micro-Climate Solutions partnered with Mattress Firm, one of North America's largest bedding retailers, and Sleep Inc., a luxury bedding manufacturer to complete the project.
